Getting married in Turin<\/h2>\n

The romantic city of Turin<\/strong> has a special place in the hearts of David and Rose, two of our American spouses.
\nEvery yer they take some time from their intense New York lifes and come to Italy. They love staying in Turin, the first capital and where the Savoy kings lived.<\/p>\n

When David asked Rose to married him, they knew that Turin would be the perfect city to celebrate their union. They wanted to organize a intimate party with good wine and special dishes from the Piedmontese culinary tradition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Time with family and friends<\/h2>\n

The days before the wedding, they chose to spend some timewith friends and family, visiting the city. They chose the elegant Hotel Victoria<\/a>, in the center of Turin. From here it was very easy to visit the city’s attractions and the characteristic \u201cpiole\u201d (typical Piedmont trattorias).<\/p>\n

The traditional rehearsal dinner<\/strong> was a very entertaining moment, characterized by the excellent cuisine of the Taverna dei Mercanti. David and Rose’s guests enjoyed a delicious homemade dinner and some excellent glasses of Piedmontese wine.<\/p>\n

The wedding day!<\/h2>\n

The wedding<\/strong> was the day after , in a castle in the Langhe,<\/strong> bleached by the snow fallen the previous days on the vineyards. The whitewashed landscape and the colors of the sky created a magical and suggestive atmosphere even though the Langhe<\/a> where not decorated by the usual shades of the lush vegetation.<\/p>\n

To celebrate with their friends and family, David and Rose chose a typical Piedmontese tavern because they wanted to recreate a familiar and traditional atmosphere. For dinner was they had delicious typical dishes, such as Russian salad, veal with tuna sauce and ravioli del plin.<\/p>\n

The gold color<\/strong>, leitmotif of the event\u2019s scenography, was in many details. You could find it in the floral arrangement and in the bride\u2019s hairstyle, a typical 1950s hairstyle with leaves painted gold.<\/p>\n

The floral arrangement embellished the hardwood tables with small compositions of gipsophila, pine and gold-sprayed ivy.<\/p>\n

To make their wedding even more Italian,\u00a0the couple had a mandolin playing during the day.<\/p>\n
